Women Grow connects, educates, and empowers diverse leaders in all segments of the cannabis industry. Women Grow was created to inspire and empower the next generation of cannabis industry leaders by creating programs, community and events for aspiring and current business executives. Founded in 2014 in Denver, Women Grow is a non-profit that serves as a catalyst for women to influence and succeed in the cannabis industry.
They are hosting their second annual Women Grow Leadership Summit February 3 – 5, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. This year's event will feature special guest Melissa Ethridge. The event will feature 65 experts and host 1000 women (and men) as well as elevate the conversation around legal cannabis and sustainable commercial grow practices.

Our own Shelly Peterson, Vice President of Sales – Lighting, will be presenting on Friday, Februay 5th on a panel on “Sustainable Standard Operating Procedures.” Shelly has served in the capacity of VP of Sales for the last three years. She manages the company's sales force located across the country. Her passion for eco friendly solutions and creating a sustainable environment ensures that the commercial cultivator is provided with a lighting plan that utilizes the least amount of equipment. Further, her skills learned in the commercial lighting industry have enabled her to work with regional electrical providers to maximize available utility rebates for urban-gro’s customers.
