urban-gro Adds Integrated Pest Management Product Offerings and associated expertise to its Business Platform

Lafayette, Colo. (January 19, 2016) – urban-gro, a leading value added reseller of the best product solutions for the commercial Cannabis cultivator, announced today that it has merged interests with Cannabis IPM Solutions, a top provider of pest management solutions for the burgeoning recreational and medical Cannabis industry. Together, the companies will operate under the urban-gro brand. The announcement was made by urban-gro CEO Bradley Nattrass, who is based in the company’s Lafayette, Colo., headquarters and manufacturing facility.

Under the expanded company, John “Chandler”, President of Cannabis IPM Solutions, assumes the role of Vice President of Cultivation Technologies at urban-gro. Nattrass remains President and CEO. “We are delighted to have Chandler join the urban-gro team,” Nattrass said. “His expertise in integrated pest management complements urban-gro’s lighting solutions product offering. urban-gro now provides a full spectrum of product solutions to improve cultivation operations in the legal Cannabis industry.”

Chandler has a demonstrated passion for assisting growers in efficiently producing high-quality horticultural crops. He has been managing and consulting for large-scale organic vegetable farms and greenhouses, as well as Cannabis production facilities, since graduating from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Production Horticulture in 2003. Chandler recently received formal designation as a Certified Crop Advisor by the American Society of Agronomy.

“I look forward to educating urban-gro’s extensive customer base on how to control powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids and other pests in this rapidly changing regulatory environment,” said Chandler.  “Although we offer both synthetic and organic product solutions, many cultivation operators are looking for organic solutions because they want to stay on the right side of the regulators. Building on our expertise in selling light systems to grow Cannabis, we can now provide the IPM solutions that will help our customers cut their costs and increase their yields and quality.”

urban-gro will meet with clients to review their new service offerings at the upcoming Cannacon Conference in Seattle from February 18-20. Visit urban-gro at Cannacon Booth #205 and #448.
