urban-gro, a leading systems integrator and agriculture technology firm serving commercial cultivators around the world, and the Company's ag tech division, Soleil Technologies, recently exhibited at the cannabis industry's largest trade show of the year—MJBizCon 2018—held November 14-6 in Las Vegas.
In booth 3419, urban-gro demonstrated how they help cultivators improve operational efficiencies by working with them to design, optimize, and integrate systems. Visitors were able to slip on VR goggles and take a virtual tour of a real cultivation facility where they could see systems and equipment integration first-hand. Printed CAD drawings demonstrated the high level of detail and expertise that goes into designing facility systems such as fertigation, lighting, and benching.
The Soleil Technologies team was on hand running a live data feed and talking to cultivators about how the proprietary high-density wireless sensor network delivers data in real-time from anywhere in the world. By sensing the microclimates throughout their facility, cultivators are able to make better informed decisions about the health of their crops. The impact of this unparalleled technology is that growers are able to graphically map their environment in detail in order to maintain a higher level of uniformity. Larry Dodson, Chief Technology Officer at urban-gro said, "If things go bad, or good, they want to know. And we'll tell them. That's what our system offers that's different from anybody else."
With MJBizCon 2018 in the books, the team is looking forward to greater opportunities to serve the cannabis market with its enhanced Soleil® Sense & Control technology in 2019. Be sure to check out the Events page to see where urban-gro and Soleil Technologies are headed next.
