As a multi-building renovation project, the mid-century modern Roberts Library was renovated for contemporary studies and expanding enrollment.
The library was transformed with reorganized collections, high-tech study rooms, an open stairway, higher ceilings with exposed structure, and a mix of lounge and collaboration spaces. Addition of a Cafe, media labs, and a screening room on the main level make this a destination space for on-campus retention. The ground level houses classrooms, computer labs, and offices for the new School of Information Technology.
Within a tight budget, and simultaneously constructed, the project updated furniture, finishes, and lighting throughout and modernized MEP, provided all new restrooms, and improved ADA accessibility.
