Comer Community Center was damaged when excessive water ponding on the roof resulted in a partial structural failure. The collapse set off the fire sprinkler system within the building creating further damage. Our design team was retained to assess the overall damage and develop cost opinions for repairs. The scope was expanded to include modernization of systems and update the functional use. The assessment was required to separate costs and scope of repairs and remediation from modernization and functional upgrades. The project was completed utilizing an Architect Led Design-Build delivery method.
