Cobb County Fire Station Design

Our team was selected by Cobb County to design and provide construction documents in a Design-Build capacity for a six-bay fire station located at the end of the runway at Cobb County International Airport. We re-analyzed the bridging documents prepared by others and re-oriented the new fire station and maintenance shop in order to provide better efficiencies and circulation on site. With their extensive fire station experience, we also offered recommendations for a more functional and efficient fire department. Plan and building changes offered considerable estimated construction cost savings and provided a much more functional facility. The two-story design totals 20,500 sq. ft. and features an exercise space, locker rooms, laundry, sleeping quarters, offices and classroom spaces. A maintenance building and pole barn are also part of the site design.
